Khinley Jo

Khinley Jo is a 4-year-old from Unionville IA. She was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia with mediastinal mass. Her mom noticed eye swelling and a runny nose, followed by low grade fevers, fatigue and breathing issues. This prompted labs. The abnormal labs sent them to University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. A chest X-ray showed a mass covering 3/4 of her chest with the biggest part covering her right lung and heart, compressing her heart vessels. After closely watching her labs, it was decided that she was going to need dialysis in addition to cancer treatment.
